Ragnaros Kills
The first night of raiding is over and currently 38 guilds allready killed Ragnaros. The real challenge comes next week though, when the heroic version of all the Firelands bosses opens up.
Boss kills
Shannox was killed by 1110 guilds. Blizzard significantly buffed this fight which made this fight considerable harder (taunt-fix).
On most forums there were a lot of questions about this encounter. Most strategy guides have not yet incorporated all changes and renewed insights. I received a lot of questions too and made some further adjustment to my Shannox strategy guide .
Especially the tanking and removing of Jagged Tear is problematic for most casual guides. I advice these guilds to move with 3 tanks (2 tanks on Shannox) and/or get a Deathknight to tank Shannox. Make sure to follow my guide and get Jagged Tear to reset before the start of phase 2.
Killorder for Shannox
I’ve also updated the killorder of Shannox: Kill Rageface first. We found out that the fight becomes much easier when Rageface is killed first. There are a lot of reports on forums about this new (and improved) killorder too. The 30% DPS increase of Shannox due to the death of Rageface is easily compensated since healing on the MT is not overly complicated. This offcourse is much different on heroic!
Alysrazor
The Alysrazor strategy guide received a major update too. Blizzard changed this fight on live (especially the tornado phase). On PTR there was a safespot where people could hide.
